Models3D models are often used to develop prototype products, test new designs and create replicas of existing products. 3D models are frequently used where the 'real thing' would perish or deteriorate unacceptably, for example, photographing food for advertising purposes or displaying products or items in a size much larger or smaller than the real item. 3D models are frequently created and used in the areas of advertising, film, television, product-development, architectural design, retail outlets, education and entertainment, theatre and props and set-building. One of New Zealand's largest and most experienced modelmaking companies, Bootleg Design has created many such models, including fake 'chocolate' mousse, replica crocodiles and even a 20-seat bus. Below are more examples of our favourite models.
