To make an existing stairwell more appealing by incorporating natural features unique to Otago.

The rock was made from fibreglass, and fake lichen glued on to give the finishing touch. The walls had to be constructed in a modular form enabling break-down and re-assembly within the stairwell.
Finished Results / Interesting Notes
Upon opening the first comment everyone made was "How did you get a schist cave inside the museum?".
